Pirate’s Admiration Award

My wonderful train companion Alli nominated me for the Pirate’s Admiration Award. Alli and I also traveled on a ship down the Nile together. It was a cruise ship instead of a pirate ship, same difference in my opinion. Alli has a great blog called The Vintage Postcard. She’s the one that inspired me to join wordpress. I was using other blog sites and just didn’t like them. She writes about her travels around the world. She just got back from New Zealand.

Now I get to pass this award on to bloggers I admire, so if ever I’m completely adrift in Blogger Sea I’ll have my own band of pirates to rescue me.

The rules for Pirate’s Admiration Award are:
1. Visit and thank the blogger who nominated you.
2. Acknowledge that blogger on your blog and a link back.
3. Put on somethin’ frilly, ‘n be tellin’ a blogger ye desire to admire that a Steamin’ Pirate admires ya, ‘n yer passin’ that admiration to him or her to be plundered, if ye so desire.
4. Nominate bloggers for the Pirate’s Admiration Award, provide a link to their blogs in your post, and notify them on their blogs.
5. Copy and paste the award somewhere on your blog.

If you ever need help with your pirate speak here’s an English to Pirate Translator

Jackie, you are the BEST! I’m humbled that you thought of my blog (again) for this award. I am a bit burned out from my trip home (last night) and am taking a break from posting for a couple of days. I hope you are well!

I can understand that. I always feel like I need a couple days off to recover from my vacations. Unpacking, adjusting to the time zone, catching up on sleep, uploading pictures, and figuring out a place for every new item bought.

By the by, I’m fairly certain that was my swan song insofar as RTW trips. It’s a young man’s (or woman’s) game. I did well to do all the things I did and places I visited. However, it was exhausting to do that many countries in that short of period of time. I will probably do a blog post on what I learned about myself, mistakes I made, and what I really enjoyed on this trip. I just need to reflect a bit before doing something like that. In any event, I enjoyed the trip with minimal issues and have so many wonderful memories that I’ll treasure forever.

I will probably do the 1-2 month stay at 1 or 2 countries next time. I enjoyed doing that in Boquete, Panama last year, during my 2 month plus S and C America trip.
